IGP Dan Bahadur Karki inaugurated the newly constructed office building, barracks, and mess at District Traffic Police Office, Nawalparasi East. He stressed citizen-friendly, technology-driven traffic services and urged full compliance with traffic rules.

Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki inaugurated the newly constructed office building, barracks, mess, and other structures within the premises of the District Traffic Police Office, Nawalparasi East, at a program held on Saturday. He also inspected the newly constructed buildings and planted trees within the office compound.

At the program, Inspector General Karki presented certificates of appreciation to various dignitaries who contributed to the construction work.

On the occasion, IGP Karki expressed gratitude to those who contributed to the timely completion of the building construction and emphasized that the services to be delivered from the new building should be more citizen-friendly and professional. He stated that traffic police must be made increasingly technology-friendly to make traffic management more effective and to deliver services in a manner that citizens can genuinely feel.

IGP Karki noted that since the newly constructed building is the shared property of both citizens and the police, its preservation is also the responsibility of both. He further directed the police personnel present to use polite language and deliver disciplined, citizen-friendly police services. He also urged traffic police to prioritize accident reduction by conducting public awareness programs on traffic management, and called on citizens to fully comply with traffic rules.

At the program, Laxmi Devi Pande, Chairperson of the Rural Municipalities National Federation Nepal and Hupsekot Rural Municipality; Krishna Prasad Lamsal, Secretary of the Gandaki Provincial Government's Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers; and Chiranjivi Rana, Acting Chief District Officer of Nawalparasi East, each delivered their goodwill remarks.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Dipendra Gharti Chhetri, Chief of the Gandaki Province Police Office, delivered the vote of thanks, while Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Thapa, Chief of the Nepal Police Highway Security and Traffic Management Office, Gandaki Province, delivered the welcome address.

On the occasion, Technical Deputy Superintendent of Police (Engineer) Chiranjivi Pratap Mahato presented the building construction report. The construction was completed at a total cost of Rs. 3 crore 2 lakh 12 thousand 6 hundred and 76 rupees from the budget allocated by the Gandaki Provincial Government.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the heads of security agencies in the district, heads of various government offices, representatives of various political parties, heads and representatives of various organizations and associations, local social workers, distinguished citizens, media personnel, and local residents.
