IGP Dan Bahadur Karki Bids Farewell to Nepal Police Women’s Volleyball Team

The President of the Nepal Police Sports Committee and Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Dan Bahadur Karki, formally bid farewell and extended his best wishes to the Nepal Police Women’s Volleyball Team, which is set to participate in the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Club Championship 2026 to be held in the friendly nation of the Maldives from February 4, 2026 to February 10, 2026.

The farewell ceremony took place on Sunday at the Nepal Police Headquarters, where IGP Karki officially saw off the team. The delegation comprises 14 players and 4 officials, representing the Nepal Police at this prestigious international tournament.

While addressing the program, Inspector General Karki emphasized that the women’s volleyball team represents not only the Nepal Police organization but also the entire nation of Nepal and its people on the international stage. He expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and encouraged all players and coaches to deliver their best performance, highlighting that a strong showing in the championship would enhance the prestige and pride of both the country and the Nepal Police organization at the international level. He concluded his remarks by extending heartfelt best wishes for success in the competition.

The program was attended by Additional Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, senior police officers, and other distinguished officials, reflecting the institutional support and importance placed on sports and women’s representation in international competitions within the Nepal Police.
