Leading Accounting Professor Chaudhary Appointed as New Principal of SPA College
Associate Professor Buddharam Chaudhary has been appointed as the new Campus Chief of Sudur Paschimanchal Campus (SPA College) in Dhangadhi, widely known as Nepal’s “city of cricket.” The formal handover of responsibility took place on Tuesday during a special program organised in the college auditorium hall.
Chaudhary, a senior faculty member and respected academic in the field of Accounting, has been serving the institution since its establishment in 1999 (B.S. 2056). He completed his MBA from Tribhuvan University and began teaching Accounting at SPA College the same year the campus was founded. Over the past 27 years, he has played a vital role in the academic and administrative development of the institution.
Throughout his long tenure, Chaudhary has taken on multiple responsibilities, including serving as ECA Coordinator and Assistant Campus Chief. In addition to his teaching and administrative contributions, he has also co-authored Accounting textbooks for Grades 11 and 12 as well as for the first and second years of the Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) program. These textbooks are widely used by students across Nepal.
Recognized as one of the most accomplished Accounting professors in Sudurpashchim Province, Chaudhary has built a reputation for academic excellence, dedication, and integrity. Acknowledging his decades-long contribution and commitment, the SPA College Management Committee decided to entrust him with the leadership of the campus.
Speaking at the ceremony, SPA College Managing Director Subash Shahi congratulated Chaudhary and described him as an ideal and inspiring personality. He expressed happiness that the right person had been selected at the right time and conveyed confidence that the campus would reach new heights under Chaudhary’s leadership.
In his remarks, newly appointed Campus Chief Chaudhary described the opportunity to lead the same institution he has served since its early days as a matter of great pride. He pledged to continue the positive initiatives undertaken by his predecessor and emphasized his commitment to honesty, dedication, and teamwork. Chaudhary stated that he would work collaboratively with the entire team to ensure the overall growth and advancement of SPA College.
With nearly three decades of continuous service at a single institution, Associate Professor Buddharam Chaudhary’s appointment marks a significant milestone for SPA College as it looks ahead to a new phase of academic excellence and institutional development.
